Lead the SingaporeConnect Arts & Entrepreneurship Networking Mixer, an evening in San Francisco on Sunday, November 15, 2026, following the screening of Dream Stall on the US West Coast tour presented by Eight Parables and co-hosted by SingaporeConnect.

The evening pairs a bak kut teh pop-up by Dabao Singapore with a conversation about creative entrepreneurship featuring filmmaker Annette Lee and Dabao founder Emily Lim, hosted by Joanna Hope Lai. It is for artists, chefs, writers, photographers, filmmakers and animators, and for anyone who wants to meet them.

Roles and Responsibilities (you can do any subpart)

• Own the plan for the evening with SingaporeConnect leadership: format, run of show and timeline from now until the event
• Coordinate with Eight Parables and the Dream Stall tour team so the mixer follows the San Francisco screening smoothly
• Work with Dabao Singapore (founder Emily Lim and her team) on the bak kut teh pop-up: serving, set-up and clear-down
• Work with the venue on space, layout, food service and A/V, and confirm the venue and timing that are shared with pre-registered guests
• Prepare the conversation on creative entrepreneurship with Annette Lee, Emily Lim and host Joanna Hope Lai: running order, talking points and speaker logistics
• Invite the Bay Area creative community, reaching out to artist groups, collectives and communities to share the invitation
• Line up artists, chefs, authors and entrepreneurs who want to take part, and collect any raffle items they offer
• Work with ticketing and registration on the separate mixer ticket and the screening-and-mixer bundle, and with check-in on the day
• Recruit and brief a small team of volunteers (see suggested sub-lead roles)
• Work with marketing and publicity volunteers on the invitation, social posts and press access
• Run the evening on the day, then handle post-event follow-up: thank-yous, photos, feedback and a short summary for SingaporeConnect

• Experience organising events or community gatherings is helpful but not required
• Comfort working with vendors, venues and volunteers
