Dr Jamus Lim, Economist, on the implications of Covid-19

What are the global economic implications of COVID-19?

How have countries, including Singapore, acted thus far?

How is the situation likely to evolve given the policy actions so far?

Dr Jamus Lim, Associate Professor of Economics at the ESSEC Business School

In the 15th SingaporeConnect Covid-19 Forum, we invited Dr Jamus Lim to share his perspectives on the economic implications of Covid-19.

Jamus was previously the chief economist of ThirdRock Group, an independent investment advisory; the lead economist at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, and a senior economist at The World Bank.

A Bay Area Friend

But closer to most of us in the Bay Area, did you know Jamus spent several years at Santa Cruz, CA, where he was a teaching fellow at the UC Santa Cruz, then a research associate at the Santa Cruz Institute for International Economics? Some of us may recall he even participated in the Singapore National Day celebrations back then.

We did this topic given past surveys where the top topic requested for (topping cooking classes), was for an economics speaker.
