Singapore Connect is pleased to stage the first-ever Singapore Sports And Family (SAF) Day 2017 here in the San Francisco Bay Area this Fall.
Important update regarding possible changes to the event due to the air quality from fires in Napa and Sonoma
Come join hundreds of fellow Singaporeans in Silicon Valley at the inaugural Singapore SAF Day 2017! It’s your chance to come out with your family and friends and bond with other Singaporeans over some fun, food and friendly rivalry. This family-friendly event promises something for everyone young and old, from team games and relays for the little ones, team ‘telematches’, to soccer, captain’s ball and ultimate frisbee for our college students and adults.
As this year marks NS50 (50 years of National Service in Singapore), we’re also giving you and your children a chance to set an IPPT record in sit-ups and push-ups, with prizes awaiting the fittest among us.
Also come cheer on your favourite team as the Singapore Students Associations of Stanford and UC Berkeley face-off in a Captain’s Ball finale challenge.
There’ll be goodie bags for everyone, thanks to the kind sponsorship of Khong Guan, Yeo’s, The Golden Duck Co. and the Overseas Singaporean Unit.
There are also attractive prizes to be won for sporting excellence and in the Raffle draw, including a grand prize of a return non-stop flight ticket to Singapore on United Airlines!
We’re delighted to acknowledge the corporate support of United Airlines, Razer, Orchard Hotel, Kong Guan, Yeo's, The Golden Duck Co, All-Outdoors California Whitewater Rafting, OOWA by DynaOptics, KopiTiam Café, Shiok, Vegan Burg, Health Promotion Board, Crystal Jade and Aina.

Play nice and fair
Do exercise sportsmanship and demonstrate care for others. Please place safety of self and others first. Enjoy the presence of our community and make an effort to forge new friendships.
If you bring a dog, please have it on a leash, be prepared to pick up the poop, keep it away from the food and serving areas, the general sportsgrounds and save the food and drinks at the site for humans.
A selection of delicious Singapore-inspired snacks will be provided around tea time, whilst clean drinking water to will be available throughout the event to help you cool down from all the activity!
The Singapore Sports And Family (SAF) Day 2017 is organised by SingaporeConnect, with the involvement of Singaporeans@Stanford and UC Berkeley Singapore Students Association and supported by the Overseas Singaporean Unit (OSU).
Why your registration fee isn’t “just for fun” but for a more meaningful purpose?
The Singapore SAF Day is not just a day for “fun”, but our way to be part of Singapore Cares (SG Cares) - a national movement to build a more caring and inclusive society.
The United Way of the Wine Country (www.unitedwaywinecountry.org) is a local organization dedicated to improving lives locally since incorporation on February 26, 1968. Their mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of their community through leadership, community engagement and effective investment. They envision an educated community where all people live healthy, productive lives and can contribute to the well-being of their communities. All contributions to United Way stays in Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt and Del Norte Counties.
Your donations will be channeled 100% (excluding the service fees which we have kept to the minimum) to the United Way Wine Country Fund.
Your registration fee is in fact the amount that you will be donating to charity. The suggested minimum registration/donation amount is $10 for adults and college students, but you are encouraged to donate more ($20, $50 and $99) where you feel adequate and moved to do so. There’s also a bonus to donating more because you have a higher chance of winning attractive prizes in the Raffle draw! The registration/donation amount is $5 for children and students from 6 to 18 years old. There is no charge for children five and below.
Let's Play and Share!
So let’s come together as the larger Singaporean family here in Northern California to show that overseas Singaporeans care for those who are need of our support.
