A member tipped us off to an interesting restaurant:
" What used to be “100% Healthy Desserts” recently renamed to ‘HS Café’ which the Singaporean lady owner says stands for ‘Hawker Street Café’. They’ve got several Singaporean dishes like claypot chicken, bak kut teh, curry chicken, chwee kway, hainanese chicken rice and durian chendol. Don’t think any of us have organised any Singaporean event at this place before, so it might be neat to introduce fellow Singaporeans to this place. It’s not fantastic but decent, plus they recently improved their upholstery, so it looks less dingy.
" Maybe the Yelp reviews aren't giving this place the rating it deserves, but intrigued to check it out? (the picture of the Hainan Chicken Rice was taken from a review at Yelp - said to be pretty authentic).
Holding a Friday evening Friday to come and meet and chat - about your post Singapore Day memories, Thanksgiving plans, and so on - do register so we know how many to get a table for.
